Overview
AbleMind is an iOS application developed by BeachDev LLC that connects to Ableton Live via your local network and allows you to control your session using natural language and AI.
We built AbleMind with privacy as a foundation, not an afterthought. The short version: we don't see your prompts, we don't store your session data, and we don't sell anything about you to anyone.
What We Collect
AbleMind may collect the following limited, anonymous data for the purpose of improving the product:

All analytics data is anonymized and aggregated. We cannot identify you from this data and we do not attempt to.
You can opt out of analytics at any time in the app's Settings screen.
What We Don't Collect
To be explicit about what we do not do:
BeachDev LLC does not proxy, log, store, or have access to any communication between the AbleMind app and your chosen AI provider. That communication goes directly from your iPhone to the provider's API.
API Keys
AbleMind requires you to provide your own API key from an AI provider (such as Google, xAI, Anthropic, or OpenAI). This is a deliberate design choice.
Your API key is stored exclusively in the iOS Keychain on your device — Apple's encrypted, hardware-protected credential store. It is never transmitted to BeachDev LLC's servers or any third party other than the AI provider you are authenticating with.
AI Providers
AbleMind supports multiple AI providers. When you send a prompt, your message — along with context about your Ableton session — is sent directly from your device to the provider you have selected.
This data is subject to each provider's own privacy policy, not ours. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of your chosen provider:

BeachDev LLC has no visibility into the content of your prompts or the responses returned by these providers.
Analytics
We use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how AbleMind is being used at an aggregate level. This helps us prioritize features and fix issues.
We do not use third-party advertising analytics or tracking pixels. We do not build profiles of individual users. We do not share analytics data with third parties for any commercial purpose.
To opt out of analytics collection, go to Settings → Privacy → Analytics in the AbleMind app.

We do not sell your data to any third party. Ever.
Children
AbleMind is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through our app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users through the app.
Continued use of AbleMind after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
